OUTSTANDING SOLO SHOW
 JONES sits on the black box upstage right facing away from audience.
JONES exits and returns carrying a third black box, with a journal and pencil on top, and sets the box upstage right. |
 Rinses hands 20 seconds and uses cloth on box to dry.
Notices hands and rubs them together, reacting to sore on edge of right hand, removing gauze and examining the sore. Begins humming an indiscernible tune. Goes to basin on black box downstage centre. Rinses hands 20 seconds and uses cloth on box to dry.
“Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to you!”

“… uhmm … I saw a guy today with a mask made of grass, tufts of grass held together with what looked like pipe cleaners and hair elastics woven into the piped-grass and stretched back over his ears to hold his mouthful-of-mask-hay in place—protection?” |
