In a closed door session between teacher and student, a game of power is played between two people, with both sides underestimating how far the other will go. Nasty Shadows Theatre Company presents David Mamet‘s controversial play, Oleanna. When Carol, a young undergraduate student, visits her Professor, John, to discuss her grade in his class, a match of wills plays out within the academic halls of power that neither will be able to walk away from unscathed. Parts provocative and cringe inducing, David Mamet’s Oleanna is a powerhouse production, featuring Nasty Shadows veterans Becky Forbes and Scott Shannon, and is directed by Nicholas Cole. Oleanna: You’ll never look at a student teacher conference the same way again …
WARNING: Strong language occurs in a few moments.
