In the not-so-distant future, rock ‘n’ roll and mass murder collide in Sam Shepard‘s Tooth of Crime (Second Dance). Hoss, a solo rock/murder artist is climbing the charts, inching his way ever closer to the top but finds something lacking. On his horizon is a new challenger who doesn’t follow the Game, or listen to the Keepers, a challenger named Crow who follows no rules at all. While Hoss struggles with his own identity and place in the world, his very life hangs in the balance when this Crow comes rapping at his chamber door. With live music arranged by Matt Gray, adapted from the gritty original compositions by T Bone Burnett, this production is a pure, jagged ride through the Heart of the West, in a way that only Sam Shepard can provide. Directed by Nicholas Cole, and featuring a cast of six veteran Nasty Shadows, this is a production to die for.
