EXCERPT FROM THIS IS A PLAY
– FEMALE ACTOR:

“His hand is so clammy. I begin, tentatively at first, my favourite monologue. It’s a lovely monologue full of images and metaphors drawn from modern psychology and nature creating a philosophy of functional spirituality. And then I look at him with a look that lets him know that he is everything to me—my life, my love, my future. I try not to gag or sound ironic.”

NSTC SHOWS / ROLES

  • This Is A Play (2019)
    — ‘Female Actor’
  • SHADOW SHOWS / ROLES
    (In development)

  • Standing At Opposite Ends Are Ducky & Murdock – ‘Ducky’
  • Amanda Thorne is a 2nd year UNB student hailing from Fredericton. She has appeared in such shows as The Government Inspector (FHS) and The Gravitational Pull Of Bernice Trimble (Theatre UNB). Amanda is excited to join The Shadows for the first time in this fall’s production of This Is A Play (2019).

Yet another new Shadow in the fall of 2019, the Company is boosted by Amanda’s natural talents on stage, creating her own hilariously charming version of the Female Actor in MacIvor’s play. Amanda was also gracious enough to agree to read a couple of scenes from a work-in progress Scott has been trying to complete that is loosely based on his grandparents.
